Research

The company’s research involves:

  1. the general development of the chemistry and materials applications of light metal hydrides, encompassing the alkali and alkaline earth metals, aluminum and boron;
  2. the exploration of these materials as hydrogen storage media;
  3. the development of novel hydrogenation techniques for recharging these materials and;
  4. the establishment of a state-of-the-art materials testing facility.

This program will provide HSM with product development for cylinder replacement, automotive hydrogen fuel system development, and the offering of analytical services through the compilation and publication of standard materials property measurement techniques and analysis of candidate materials for hydrogen storage.
